The Accent Experience: Sure, a fast and easy treatment to get younger-looking skin sounds great but of course, you want to know what it’s really like. We understand that, so we want to give you some idea of what you can realistically expect if you choose to participate in the Accent Your Body treatment.
While pain tolerance is subjective, most people tolerate Dual-layer RF Thermotherapy well, and have little or no discomfort. Patients often describe the sensation as a "warm massage." The risk of significant side effects is extremely low. After the treatment the skin will be warm and red for several hours and swelling may persist for several days. Normal daily activities can be resumed the same day. No scabbing or crusting is seen after this treatment.
Specifically during the treatment, the Accent system precisely heats the inner layer of your skin (dermis), while simultaneously cooling the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). As the dermis is heated, a natural reaction occurs, promoting the creation of new collagen .The result: a return to the smooth, shapely and elastic skin of your youth.

Results can sometimes be seen immediately with a tightening and lifting of the skin and underlying tissue which can continue to increase up to 6 months after the treatment. If swelling is present after the treatment, that will resolve in a few days and the results will be seen then. We generally recommend 6 treatments overall to each area for optimal results, but sometimes we are satisfied after a lesser number of treatments. Treatments are scheduled every 3 weeks.
